I finished reading Robert T Kiyosaki's book CashFlow Quadrant last week. I can't believe I just now found this book. It is definitely another eye opener. I now look at things way more different. I feel more confident in going after what I want and desire. It is amazing what we are taught growing up and then what we learn as we are adults. My favorite part of the book is Part II of the book which is called Bringing Out The Best In You.
He talks about how if you want to be financially free, don't work for money. As a kid I was taught to go to school, get good grades, and go to college to get a nice good paying job. I did go to college but I don't feel like a regular 9-5 is fulfilling to me. Kiyosaki talks about how him and his wife were homeless before they became financially secure. They took a leap of faith and let go of the old conditioning that many are taught when we are growing up. Although I am sure there were times they wanted to go back to the security of having paycheck but there was a bigger picture that they saw.
Right now I am battling with that same scenario. I see the end in mind (being financially free) but I admit that there is a fear of the unknown that creeps in the back of my mind. It is a very mental thing. Also in this section of the book, Kiyosaki mentions you have to be in order to do which causes you to have. He learned this from a goal setting class. The have part is the goal. What he wrote in the book is not new information. It is mentioned in Write it Down, Make it Happen, Think and Grow Rich, and You Can Heal Your Life.
We can create anything we want as long as we believe it. I do believe we create our journeys by what we think.
