My 40 Day Prosperity Plan Experience

I have finished my first round of the 40 Day Prosperity Plan almost a month ago. I am doing my second round of the 40 Day Prosperity Plan and I am on day 28.

I found out about this challenge in July when I was on my favorite forum and there was a thread on it.

The 40 Day Prosperity Plan was created by John Randolph Price, author of The Abundance Book. I did not read the book (so many books on my list to read), but you don't have to read the book to do the Prosperity Plan. The Plan consists of 10 statements and You recite one statement each day for 40 days. You can recite the statement when you wake up or when you go to sleep. You are suppose to meditate on the statement and journal your thoughts. If you miss a day, you are to restart to day one until you go 40 days straight of reciting each statement. You begin the plan by writing a statement of commitment which is provided.

I don't think you necessarily have to do the plan exactly as it is set up. The main purpose is to form a habit which in essence will create a commitment and cause change. To me this plan help me see that all that I need is already here. I am less anxious about how things are going to be and my finances. I know that I will be alright. I have made it this far.

I changed the plan slightly for my needs. Some of the wording in the plan as far as the statements are religious in terms and I don't practice any religion (although I do believe in spirit). I just simply changed the wording that resonated more with me. I record each statement and for whatever day I am on, I play that statement over and over again while I journal my thoughts, goals, or whatever I wanted to write. I then meditate after I finish writing in my journal. I incorporated my morning ritual with the 40 day plan to fit my comfort level. I did have to start over during the first round but after I made it over the 20 day hump it became a habit.

As I previously stated before, this plan has allowed me to look at things from a more positive light and reminded me that we have all that we need. I am still a work in progress but I don't worry my nerves about things that I use to.

Many people have experienced prosperity come into their lives very quickly whether it be a new job opportunity, money some how coming out the blue, or a new car. Sometimes this happens in the matter of days other times it is months down the line. But the most common thing I have seen is that something happened to that person internally and external manifestations happened.

Its like focusing your mind on positivity and abundance and it reflects in your external world.

For me I felt a change internally although I didn't see anything externally. But I had made bonus the month after I started the prosperity plan and I am on the path of making it for this month also. Its a gradual thing for sure and I am enjoying every moment of it. There are other little things that have happened and I know it has alot to do with having positive thoughts. It is not a coincidence.

Financial Freedom: My Thoughts after readng Cashflow Quadrant

I finished reading Robert T Kiyosaki's book CashFlow Quadrant last week. I can't believe I just now found this book. It is definitely another eye opener. I now look at things way more different. I feel more confident in going after what I want and desire. It is amazing what we are taught growing up and then what we learn as we are adults. My favorite part of the book is Part II of the book which is called Bringing Out The Best In You.

He talks about how if you want to be financially free, don't work for money. As a kid I was taught to go to school, get good grades, and go to college to get a nice good paying job. I did go to college but I don't feel like a regular 9-5 is fulfilling to me. Kiyosaki talks about how him and his wife were homeless before they became financially secure. They took a leap of faith and let go of the old conditioning that many are taught when we are growing up. Although I am sure there were times they wanted to go back to the security of having paycheck but there was a bigger picture that they saw.

Right now I am battling with that same scenario. I see the end in mind (being financially free) but I admit that there is a fear of the unknown that creeps in the back of my mind. It is a very mental thing. Also in this section of the book, Kiyosaki mentions you have to be in order to do which causes you to have. He learned this from a goal setting class. The have part is the goal. What he wrote in the book is not new information. It is mentioned in Write it Down, Make it Happen, Think and Grow Rich, and You Can Heal Your Life.

We can create anything we want as long as we believe it. I do believe we create our journeys by what we think.

Letting of Resistance

I just finished reading Write It Down, Make It Happen By Henriette Anne Klauser for the second time. I really love this book. My favorite chapter is called Resistance. I am sure there are many people like me who have dreams and aspirations that are obtainable but we ourselves are holding it back from happening. Most of time it is just deep rooted fear based off what others think or not wanting to fail.

I just began reading Robert Kiyosaki's Cashflow Quadrant and he mentioned these three things which I think is important to reach your dreams:

-Learn how to handle rejection
-Learn how to not be affected by what other people think of you.
-Learn how to lead people.

I believe the biggest thing for me right now is rejection and not worrying about what others think of me. I am learning that the risk takers always do what most say do not work. The amazing thing is that many times the "crazy" idea works. But even it does not work, there is a lesson learned.

Klauser mentions in her book that There is not failure, only a delay in results. I believe that is so true. You can't give up because of a few bumps in the road. Keep on moving.

Write it Down, Make it Happen!

That statement is very true and I love the book by Henriette Anne Klauser. I am reading it for the second time and I am almost finished. I caught my beau reading it a couple of days ago and I can tell he is intrigued by it too. I was inspired to read this book again because I am at that phase where I know there are goals that I want to achieve and I am ready to stick by those goals. It is time to grow up! I know that I want to be my own boss and not working a regular 9-5. I expressed my goals with my beau and asked what he did he think. He told me to think with the end goal in mind which of course we have all heard before (7 Habits of Highly Effective People). But what was interesting about when he said it was that I just read it in chapter 2 of Write it down, Make it Happen. I thought to myself, "Yes the Universe wanted me to read this book again!"

I journal everyday and my writing in my journal has changed drastically since reading Louise Hay's You can Heal Your Life and Write it Down, Make it happen. I am more cautious of how I write and I am also more precise. I write as if I already have what I desire. I am monitor my thoughts way more. It is also okay to address your "fears" so that it does not sit within you. Klauser stated, "Writing is a good way to force negative emotional reaction into words and not stomach churning". When you actually acknowledge what is keeping you from doing whatever it is you desire, you can work on overcoming it.

Notes from this book so far:

Life is a decision.

Any point in your life, you can decide to act one way in spite of feelings urging you to go in the other direction

When you believe in a dream, you need to risk.

Focus on desired outcome

Have faith that you will reach your goals; to bolster faith when it flags, write it down as a reality.

Hold it in your mind (your goal).

On another note, Happy Birthday to me! I am thankful to see another year. This past year has been a great one. I look forward to more growth and learning experiences.

You Can Heal Your Life

Last weekend ended on a pensive note. My Beau and I had a very insightful conversation with an elder and it was a very humble experience. I felt it brought me and my babe closer together. I appreciate that conversation and it led me to pick up a book that I have had for two years but never could finish. The book is by Louise Hay and it is called "You can heal Your Life". I would always start it but for some reason never finished it. I felt that the universe said it was time! I finished this book yesterday and I felt accomplished. I definitely look at life way more different now than I did a week ago.

What caused me to pick up this book was when I was talking with the elder and she realized I said the word Should and asked why I said it. It brought me back to what Louise Hay says about the power of your words and to be careful of the word choices you choose. She mentions how Should is one of the most damaging words in our language. Hay says that is like saying you are wrong. We have the right to choose so instead of should, use the word could.

I took so many notes while reading because when I write things down, I tend to remember it better. One of the biggest things I learned from this book is that we are responsible for how our lives turn out. We are responsible for our experiences. Am I going to dwell on what happened or could have happen? Or Am I going to take my experiences as a lesson and focus on the moment? Louise mentions in the book that the Point of Power is in the moment. It is very true.

I am learning to embrace what it is not moment and not dwell on the past. Our current situations are the result of of past thoughts. It can be a hard pill to swallow but it is very true. I have been monitoring my thoughts more carefully. It is not an overnight change as far as cleaning out old thoughts that serve a purpose but I am definitely working on it.

I am thankful that I picked up and read from beginning to end "You can Heal Your Life. I know it was the Universe way of saying, "It is time for you to make the beginning steps of what you desire because you said you wanted it"!

Its time to Create Money!

I read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki this week. I can't believe I haven't read that book sooner. As a kid I remember seeing this on the book shelf in my parents office but never read it. I was curious about the name but not curious enough to open up the cover. Looking back I wish I did but I am glad that I read it now. It definitely is encouraging me to do what I truly want to do. I do not want to be in a rat race and I want to be financially free and educated. My parents taught me how to be a hard worker, but financially I have learned more on my own. I was never the type to splurge money and was taught that hard work will get you what you want. But I am learning now, that thinking smart and becoming more educated about how money works can work in your advantage even more. Its all mental. I am now currently asking myself a lot of questions. There are a lot of how and why questions. I may not know quite how I will get there, but the desire is there. I already ordered "Rich Dads Cash Flow Quadrant" by Robert Kiyosaki. I know he has many more recent books that are more related for today's economy and will look at that eventually. This first book was a definite eye opener. I am ready for a change. I just have to take action, NOW!

The irony in reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" is that I am on a 40 day prosperity plan. I am now on Day 17 and I am proud. I am more content and understand that abundance comes from within. Your world is the result of what you say, do, and believe in. Both the book and this challenge have one thing in common. They both are mental. Its all about whats in your mind. If you train your mind, then your world can be what you want it to be.

It has been a while

I have been neglecting my blog alot! I keep saying that I will be more active and then life takes over. I recently started the 40 Day Prosperity Plan and I have been having good results as far as my mindset. It is a great way of rewiring your mind to see that abundance comes from within and from the source. With this plan and Uranus trining my natal mercury (a very long transit!), my creative juices are flowing. For those who are not familiar with astrology, here is a definition:

Uranus Trine Mercury from futureminders.com

Uranus Trine Mercury
This time is filled with exciting and stimulating mental activity, and you’re more open to new and progressive ideas. You feel bored with conventional thinking and your mind is much more restless and active. You tend to be impatient with other people who don’t talk or think as fast as you and may need a healthy outlet for your increased nervous energy. You may initiate an educational project that exposes you to a completely new subject or challenges your traditional understanding. You’re more social and outgoing, and will prefer being around people who are unusual, eccentric or just very different from you. You have much more contact with other people during this time, and may be involved in group activities or working with organizations that propose new political or humanitarian objectives. You may initiate new friendships or partnerships with people who offer you a different perspective on your projects, and can now make changes in your business plans that allow you more flexibility. You may be attracted to any involvement with technology, science or electronics, and are extremely perceptive and adaptable when dealing with new techniques or theories. You may have frequent opportunities for travel throughout this year and will explore new or exotic places, although your schedule will tend to be very hectic.

I am reading a lot as usual, but my thoughts are open to more unconventional outlooks of life and I am enjoying it. My dreams are becoming more insightful as of late and its making me think more. I feel like there will be a lot of breakthroughs as summer quickly winds down and fall comes.

One of my big goals is to be more consistent with my blog again. I have grown so much in the last four years and would like to share my journey on a consistent basis. I feel my relationship with spirit and myself has grown so much in the last year. I am in a healthy relationship with a wonderful man. I have improved my health and diet. I am always eager to learn new things about what affects us as people...as spirits in this 3D world. I am learning so much about the black community. It is quite humbling because I am learning that I didn't know much. But I am quite content. It is a beautiful feeling.
