Letting of Resistance

I just finished reading Write It Down, Make It Happen By Henriette Anne Klauser for the second time. I really love this book. My favorite chapter is called Resistance. I am sure there are many people like me who have dreams and aspirations that are obtainable but we ourselves are holding it back from happening. Most of time it is just deep rooted fear based off what others think or not wanting to fail.

I just began reading Robert Kiyosaki's Cashflow Quadrant and he mentioned these three things which I think is important to reach your dreams:

-Learn how to handle rejection
-Learn how to not be affected by what other people think of you.
-Learn how to lead people.

I believe the biggest thing for me right now is rejection and not worrying about what others think of me. I am learning that the risk takers always do what most say do not work. The amazing thing is that many times the "crazy" idea works. But even it does not work, there is a lesson learned.

Klauser mentions in her book that There is not failure, only a delay in results. I believe that is so true. You can't give up because of a few bumps in the road. Keep on moving.

Write it Down, Make it Happen!

That statement is very true and I love the book by Henriette Anne Klauser. I am reading it for the second time and I am almost finished. I caught my beau reading it a couple of days ago and I can tell he is intrigued by it too. I was inspired to read this book again because I am at that phase where I know there are goals that I want to achieve and I am ready to stick by those goals. It is time to grow up! I know that I want to be my own boss and not working a regular 9-5. I expressed my goals with my beau and asked what he did he think. He told me to think with the end goal in mind which of course we have all heard before (7 Habits of Highly Effective People). But what was interesting about when he said it was that I just read it in chapter 2 of Write it down, Make it Happen. I thought to myself, "Yes the Universe wanted me to read this book again!"

I journal everyday and my writing in my journal has changed drastically since reading Louise Hay's You can Heal Your Life and Write it Down, Make it happen. I am more cautious of how I write and I am also more precise. I write as if I already have what I desire. I am monitor my thoughts way more. It is also okay to address your "fears" so that it does not sit within you. Klauser stated, "Writing is a good way to force negative emotional reaction into words and not stomach churning". When you actually acknowledge what is keeping you from doing whatever it is you desire, you can work on overcoming it.

Notes from this book so far:

Life is a decision.

Any point in your life, you can decide to act one way in spite of feelings urging you to go in the other direction

When you believe in a dream, you need to risk.

Focus on desired outcome

Have faith that you will reach your goals; to bolster faith when it flags, write it down as a reality.

Hold it in your mind (your goal).

On another note, Happy Birthday to me! I am thankful to see another year. This past year has been a great one. I look forward to more growth and learning experiences.

You Can Heal Your Life

Last weekend ended on a pensive note. My Beau and I had a very insightful conversation with an elder and it was a very humble experience. I felt it brought me and my babe closer together. I appreciate that conversation and it led me to pick up a book that I have had for two years but never could finish. The book is by Louise Hay and it is called "You can heal Your Life". I would always start it but for some reason never finished it. I felt that the universe said it was time! I finished this book yesterday and I felt accomplished. I definitely look at life way more different now than I did a week ago.

What caused me to pick up this book was when I was talking with the elder and she realized I said the word Should and asked why I said it. It brought me back to what Louise Hay says about the power of your words and to be careful of the word choices you choose. She mentions how Should is one of the most damaging words in our language. Hay says that is like saying you are wrong. We have the right to choose so instead of should, use the word could.

I took so many notes while reading because when I write things down, I tend to remember it better. One of the biggest things I learned from this book is that we are responsible for how our lives turn out. We are responsible for our experiences. Am I going to dwell on what happened or could have happen? Or Am I going to take my experiences as a lesson and focus on the moment? Louise mentions in the book that the Point of Power is in the moment. It is very true.

I am learning to embrace what it is not moment and not dwell on the past. Our current situations are the result of of past thoughts. It can be a hard pill to swallow but it is very true. I have been monitoring my thoughts more carefully. It is not an overnight change as far as cleaning out old thoughts that serve a purpose but I am definitely working on it.

I am thankful that I picked up and read from beginning to end "You can Heal Your Life. I know it was the Universe way of saying, "It is time for you to make the beginning steps of what you desire because you said you wanted it"!

Its time to Create Money!

I read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki this week. I can't believe I haven't read that book sooner. As a kid I remember seeing this on the book shelf in my parents office but never read it. I was curious about the name but not curious enough to open up the cover. Looking back I wish I did but I am glad that I read it now. It definitely is encouraging me to do what I truly want to do. I do not want to be in a rat race and I want to be financially free and educated. My parents taught me how to be a hard worker, but financially I have learned more on my own. I was never the type to splurge money and was taught that hard work will get you what you want. But I am learning now, that thinking smart and becoming more educated about how money works can work in your advantage even more. Its all mental. I am now currently asking myself a lot of questions. There are a lot of how and why questions. I may not know quite how I will get there, but the desire is there. I already ordered "Rich Dads Cash Flow Quadrant" by Robert Kiyosaki. I know he has many more recent books that are more related for today's economy and will look at that eventually. This first book was a definite eye opener. I am ready for a change. I just have to take action, NOW!

The irony in reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" is that I am on a 40 day prosperity plan. I am now on Day 17 and I am proud. I am more content and understand that abundance comes from within. Your world is the result of what you say, do, and believe in. Both the book and this challenge have one thing in common. They both are mental. Its all about whats in your mind. If you train your mind, then your world can be what you want it to be.
